    Overview

The Prague Summer School on Development, Sustainability and Globalization aims to enrich the discussion on the new tasks for the global development. The program is conceptualized within a broad framework of development challenges cannot discern, for instance, from the debate on food production and consumption in both developed and developing countries, environmental impact of development or existing institutional arrangements based on political negotiations and multilateral cooperation.

Start your best summer in Europe with Prague Summer Schools. Applications open now. Prague Summer Schools are weeklong academic programs, organized annually by SCHOLA EMPIRICA, a Prague-based NGO.

We strongly believe that the multidisciplinary approach of the summer school is indeed the key to better understanding the underlying drivers as well as impacts: it is only by addressing the full set of political, economic, technological and environmental aspects connected to development cooperation, that we can conceptualize a successful way forward.

The program will provide students with deeper understanding of development challenges by addressing the set of political, economic, technological and environmental aspects related to development cooperation.

Many students participating in our program counted our summer schools towards their degrees, usually receiving 3-4 ECTS.  Students who wish to receive credits for attending a summer school needs to negotiate the amount of credits with their home university. We can provide those who are interested with a confirmation of completion of the program.
