DigiPen Academy's online summer courses offer four-week programs in Art & Animation, Game Design, Video Game Programming, and Music & Sound Design. These courses introduce students to college-level coursework and industry-relevant skills. Over four weeks, students delve into the fundamentals of their chosen field, guided by expert instructors in morning sessions focused on core concepts and hands-on project labs in the afternoons.
DigiPen Academy is the K-12 sibling of DigiPen Institute of Technology, which has been turning talented college-age students into exceptional engineers, artists, designers and video game creators for more than three decades. During this four-week program students can expect to receive a strong foundation in the academic fundamentals in their chosen track in Game Design, Art & Animation, Game Programming or Music & Sound Design for Games. Students receive grades for their Pre-College classes, plus a final transcript to include in their application to DigiPen. Any student who completes the Pre-College Program and matriculates to DigiPen Institute of Technology within three years will receive a credit equal to the Pre-College Program tuition to apply toward their first-semester tuition as a freshman.
Prerequisites:
Participants must be at least 16, entering their Junior or Senior year of high school, or have graduated high school within the last 18 months.
International:
Students from outside the United States are welcome! There are no additional program prerequisites for international students, but please understand that all instruction will happen in English and between the hours of 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. PST.
