    Overview

DIYA Research is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering young minds with the tools and knowledge needed to navigate the increasingly data-driven world. DIYA Research is committed in making education in data science and technology accessible, engaging, and transformative for high school students. By fostering a supportive and stimulating environment, DIYA Research opens doors to new possibilities, inspiring the next generation to explore, innovate, and lead in the digital age.

DIYA Research offers an engaging suite of data science programs tailored for high school students in grades 9-12, designed to ignite curiosity, foster innovation, and develop essential analytical skills. Our programs cater to a wide range of interests and skill levels, from beginners to advanced learners, ensuring that every student finds a pathway to explore the dynamic field of data science.

Who: High school students eager to delve into the world of data science, from those with no prior experience to those proficient in Python programming.

What: Our comprehensive curriculum includes three distinct programs:

    1. Data Science Exploration: A foundational 2-week course for grades 9-12, introducing students to data science basics through engaging projects and real-world applications, no programming experience required.
    2. Data Science Bootcamp: An intensive 4-week program designed for analytically inclined students in grades 9-12, focusing on Python programming and data analysis to solve complex problems through hands-on learning and collaboration.
    3. Data Science Research: A challenging 6-week program for 11th and 12th graders with a background in Python, offering an immersive experience in data analysis and predictive modeling, guided by expert mentors and geared towards real-world application.

Why: At DIYA Research, our goal is to democratize data science education, equipping students with the knowledge and skills to become informed, innovative, and responsible digital citizens. Our programs not only teach technical skills but also emphasize critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity, preparing students for future academic and career success in STEM fields.

Our students' accomplishments highlight the impact of our programs. They have published papers in the Journal of Student Research - High School Edition and participated in the Student Impact challenges at SXSW, showcasing their ability to apply data science in meaningful ways.

In our commitment to bring data science education to more students, we are excited to reference our partnership with Princeton High School. This collaboration allows us to integrate our programs with existing curricula, providing a unique opportunity for students to enhance their learning experience within their school environment.

Join us at DIYA Research as we empower the next generation of data scientists, technologists, and leaders, ready to make a difference in their communities and the world.
