This program is designed to support highly motivated high school upperclassmen who want to be academically challenged this summer. Students will explore the various aspects of public health and examine the role it plays in their communities. They'll learn about policy making, health management and administration, and the effect of the environment on health. Students can look forward to probing a mock disease outbreak and learning about how the CDC and health departments respond to it. Some other exciting activities include visiting Philadelphia's city hall and hearing directly from public health experts.
