    Overview

The Arts & Communication Pre-College Program offers challenging one, two, three, and five-week summer programs for high school students. Programs are intensive, fun, and teach competitive, practical skills in communication and the arts. A few select programs can also be completed for academic credit.

Pre-College at Emerson offerings are challenging, fun, and designed to teach students competitive, practical skills in one academic area of communication or the arts. Most of our programs are in-person, which means you will live on our urban campus in downtown Boston and have access to the instructors, resources, and spaces (TV studios, camera kits, sound stages, etc.) that Emerson undergraduate students do. Some of our programs are offered in hybrid and online modalities.

As a Pre-College student, you can look forward to achieving:

*Basic knowledge of the current industry practices and requirements
*Portfolio or audition materials for your college applications
*Skills in project presentations, debating, and research (Journalism and Politics, Activism & Leadership Institutes.)

    Programs are competitive.
