    Overview

Students will learn about the character pipeline for games and animation. This will involve design, anatomy, modeling, texture, rigging, programming, and the entire animation process overall.

Students will begin with clay modeling and sketches, but ultimately progress to advanced industry software. They will also visit Penn's LiveActor motion capture studio and the Human Modeling and Simulation Center, along with field trips to companies in the industry.

Eligible students will find prior understanding of industry software and modeling tools to be helpful, but it is not required to join.
