    Overview

At EXPLO, we believe learning should be engaging, lively, and fun. Our hands-on, interactive courses and electives get students up out of their seats and fully immersed in projects that spark their curiosity and maximize their imagination.

We have courses + activities for every explorer:

    • Sports and athletics
    • Building and creating
    • Arts and literature
    • Philosophy and theory
    • Group and individual activities

Since 1976, EXPLO has been the leader in designing powerful moments of discovery that catalyze curiosity and unlock students’ potential to become lifelong explorers. And with vibrant and diverse students, staff, faculty, partners, and alumni from across the U.S. and around the world, we’re creating a global community of modern explorers. We empower kids to explore and encourage them to try something new — every day. From courses to electives to events, kids are never short of options during our residential summer programs. That abundance of choice can be unfamiliar to some rising 4–7th graders; we give them the gentle encouragement they need to just try — while their peers cheer them on. And with our wide-open spaces on campus, unmatched staff-to-student ratio, and expansive health and wellness services, EXPLO is an exceptionally safe place for them to explore (and have fun!).
