    Overview

The Fernwood Cove Leadership Program provides returning campers with the opportunity to develop real-world leadership skills. With a focus on the growth and development of the whole person, Fernwood Cove CITs develop a greater sense of self and the person they want to become. CITs experience the value of giving back by engaging in meaningful volunteer activities both within camp and in nearby communities, earning up to 100 volunteer hours.

CITs engage with volunteer opportunities, team-building activities, and leadership duties. Each session kicks off with team building events, engaging with theri counselors in activities including low and high ropes courses. One of the CITs core responsibilities is working with campers, helping guide activities, assisting with bunk responsibilities, and developing close bonds with campers. CITs also get the chance to create and lead engaging evening programs for the camp community. Working together, CITs plan activities that promote fun, creativity, and teamwork.
