    Overview

The Counselors in Training (CIT) program teaches responsible teens the essentials of becoming a superior leader, employee, and camp counselor. CITs participate in workshops and discussions to learn about basic child care, behavior management techniques, communication skills, camp organization, activity planning, job application, first aid, and leadership. Find out more!

For a portion of each day, CITs gain valuable hands-on experience while working in a troop under the guidance of our professional camp staff. They also accompany day campers on their weekly field trips.

    HOW TO APPLY

Prospective CITs are required to complete an application and ask two adults to complete a recommendation (at least one current teacher; no family members).

    Grades: 9-10
This is a selective eight-week program, and enrollment is limited.
Six-week applications may be accepted if space is available.
Do not register or pay until you receive notification that you have been accepted into the program.
