    Overview

Youth Green International is a virtual connect platform for teachers and students to discuss environmental issues, create educational partnerships, and engage together through cultural exchanges. Green Across the World connects middle schools and high schools in Vermont to partner with schools in other countries like Senegal, Japan, Bhutan, and others. We conduct exchange and apprenticeship programs for students across the world.

Work on environmental projects and explore how culture influences one’s thought on the environment while you create connections and relationships across intercultural lines.

    TOTTORI / VERMONT
High schools in Vermont and Tottori prefecture in Japan engage in 3 virtual exchanges. These exchanges meet monthly for two hours to examine youth culture and environmental topics such as favorite music videos, lamprey behavior, and STEM Academy capstone projects.

    SENEGAL / VERMONT
High schools in Vermont and Senegal are paired together. The most recent exchange includes pen pal introductions, comparing holidays seasonality, environmental culture, and discussing sustainability projects.

    BHUTAN / VERMONT
Middles schools in Vermont and Bhutan are paired together. The most recent exchange is centered on working on topics related to watershed issues throughout the world.
