The "Gustie" Basketball and Leadership Camp is designed to help each player, from the highly skilled, to those who are just beginning to develop individual skills, stimulate personal goals and give each participant a unique and meaningful experience. The ultimate aim of the camp is to develop a well-rounded basketball player emphasizing discipline, floor presence and team concepts. Each player will receive individual attention designed to help correct and improve areas of weakness or inexperience. Everyone gets equal time in five-on-five and half-court games. Fundamentals are taught daily and reinforced in league play.
Time is also set aside to discuss leadership, motivation and positive living. Contests, speakers, and free shooting round out the daily schedule.
It is our desire that campers be provided the best opportunity for them to improve as basketball players. Our camps are scheduled to put age groups together to more likely have similar skill levels together. There is a degree of flexibility so each player can find a camp that best suits his/her skills.
Check-in for all campers takes place in Lund Center downstairs in the gym. You will receive your t-shirt and league team names and then are welcome to shoot around in the gym until camp starts. Day campers are encouraged to check in after 5:00.
