    Overview

The LSU Halliburton XCITE engineering camp is a 7-day residential camp for rising 9th-12th grade female students to encourage them to pursue engineering, computer science,  and construction management degrees and careers.

All participants will stay on campus in residential housing as an introduction to college life. Students will explore, create, experiment, build, code, design, and compete while learning about a variety of engineering majors. There are Engineering 101 sessions where students learn about the major and career from faculty members then tackle a small engineering project. Students also delve deeper into engineering through a major design challenge over the week.

Tuition includes housing, supplies, breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Reduced fees are available for students with demonstrated need. All participants must have a 3.0 GPA or higher to be accepted into the program.
