    Overview

The Hameau Farm  COUNSELOR-IN-TRAINING PROGRAM (for those who truly want to extend their Hameau Farm experience), our version of a leadership discovery and tutelage program; limited to 3 girls each session, ages 15-17.

Our exciting learning environment is balanced by the farm routine, shared responsibility, complimentary activities, great meals, and a healthy cultivation of  friendships to last a lifetime. Yes, we find new friends, of the two and four-legged variety, and together create many unusual but fond memories of our time spent at Hameau Farm in the Big Valley.

Our recipe for success mixes together laughter, intrigue, creativity and physical exertion. We promise to send everyone home happy, perhaps a bit dirty, and tired.

Girls and animals mix fabulously. The mutual curiosity and naturally occurring nurturing ability are both encouraged and used to discover life’s lessons.

Opportunities abound. Mud, working with the animals and with each other,  songs and conversation combine to make the two-week experience a step towards healthy confidence and independence. Oh yes, and, of course, in the process we plant the seed for non-traditional career choices.
