IGEI offers students an intensive four week residential summer experience where international and U.S. high school students come together for learning opportunities, workshops, and design labs, a team project with real client organizations, visits to companies and mentoring from entrepreneurs, executives, and other professionals.
THE PROGRAM
The Iacocca Global Entrepreneurship was established in 2001. Students engage in high-energy interactive workshops using design thinking, ideation, business model canvas, and other tools to build capabilities for creative problem definition and solution. Additional learning sessions cover fundamentals such as marketing new ventures, understanding financial statements, project management, networking and business relationships and life-long friendships.
A central feature of the program is the Design Project Experience in which students partner with a company or enterprise to solve a real problem with an entrepreneurial solution. Students work in teams (with a mentor) and collaborate with clients virtually and in-person. Each student team prepares and delivers a formal pitch presentation outlining their solution and recommendations.
Sessions are facilitated by Lehigh faculty members as well as entrepreneurs and leaders of the local and international business community. The applied curriculum includes core and elective courses, entrepreneurial exchanges with leaders from business and industry, global exchanges, excursions to New York City and a variety of other interactive experiences and activities. The students are housed in Lehigh University dormitories and enjoy food and recreation using facilities at Lehigh and throughout the Lehigh Valley.
QUALIFICATIONS
The program is open to all current high school sophomores and juniors (ages 15-17). The selection committee evaluates each application individually, and looks for evidence of leadership, entrepreneurship, and community service. Students of any nationality are welcome to apply.

My forever family

When I was arriving to Lehigh University, I remember I was really nervous. It would be an awesome experience but I was sure that I would miss my family. Little did I know that the other 59 students and 6 mentors that attended the camp would become my forever family. From spending million hours with our project groups to dancing in the streets with my friends, the experience was wonderful. This program gave me the opportunity to expand my network by meeting people from all over the world. I would highly recommend this program, it would break your heart when you need to leave.

As an international high school student I can describe the Iacocca Global Entrepreneurship (or PSGE) as an enlightening, beautiful experience. This program helps you to get the hang of business, marketing, and the reality of workinglife. It represents your fist steps on a modern, global world. Plus, it helps you to become an active part of it. This pre-college experience of four-week has put me in touch with charismatic, brilliant, inspiring people that I will never forget. I highly recommend it.

I joined this program thinking that I am about learn something new about globalisation, this era we are living, and entrepreneurship but little did I know PSGE marked a life-changing opportunity for me. I am so grateful to have participated in this program. I was able to expand my knowledge and understand way beyond expectations the ideas of global entrepreneurship but also expand my network as an individual. I met some of the greatest people there I have ever come cross. Some truly inspiring and hardworking individuals who motivated me to reach for my ambitions. This program is all about engagement, teamwork and really bringing yourself out there to the real world. Throughout this program the amazing motivational speakers, your mentors, the director, your mates and professors push you to achieve your ambitions. They help you work on your weaknesses and excel on your strengths. A great opportunity to understanding the decision making as a business man and acquire experience as a young aspiring entrepreneur in the field of the market place. The ability to meet so many people which you keep in touch with for the rest of your life but also knowledge that will carry on and be useful in every aspect of your career.

There are some opportunities in life which completely change your perception and outlook towards people, cultures, societies & the world and I believe Pennsylvania School for Global Entrepreneurship 2014 was one such experience I lived.
We clearly understood the importance of being 'Job inventors rather than being Job seekers' in this era of globalization.At all points of time I admired the efficient and systematic structure of our program which was exclusively designed for us.

I think this was really the best month of my summer, and then even better than I could have imagined. It's not just a camp where you learn a tremendous amount of knowledge about business and global networking, but you make incredible memories that last a life time. Between the classes, amazing experiences, group work and all the different people, I can't chose a favorite. I hope that In my four weeks at PSGE, I made relationships that stay with me forever, that span all around the globe from Guatemala to Greece to India to California. I'd recommend this program to anyone, for the amazing insight into business given by the spectacular speakers as well as for the memories outside of the classroom.
