iD Tech: Roblox Game Dev Academy (Middle School Edition)

This course is part of an intensive two-week summer program held online for two hours each day, Monday through Friday. With Roblox's built-in editor, you’ll apply game design fundamentals and build your own 3D world full of engaging obstacles, custom platforms, and sculpted landscapes.

As you develop your skills in this online academy, you’ll dive into Lua, the official coding language of Roblox, and start building advanced mechanics like enemies, weapons, and rewards for your players to interact with. Create unique challenges and customized game mechanics that you’ll code and playtest yourself, like a variable score that could put your name at the top of the leaderboard! Then, explore how to implement monetization so you can sell your custom scripts and products to other game designers.
