    Overview

Japan Bound by GPI US is a cultural immersion experience designed to expand the minds of American high school students by providing them with the opportunity to explore Japan. At GPI US, our goal is to empower today’s youth to thrive in our increasingly globalized world. We believe cross-cultural experiences provide students with the opportunity to discover new perspectives, challenge their worldview, and cultivate their own personal growth.

Students will travel across the country visiting a unique, thought provoking variety of sites in Tokyo, Kyoto, Hiroshima and Kagoshima. Each location offers a specially designed itinerary guided by our staff and locals to insure an authentic experience.? In today's world, cross-cultural communication and a deep understanding of one's self are necessary not just to be successful, but to also enhance your relationships with those around you.

We'll start this journey in modern Tokyo, head down to vintage Kyoto, reflect on and our history with Japan in Hiroshima, and finish with a week in beautiful Kagoshima. Unlike most trips, we don't want to parade you around tourist attraction after tourist attraction, we want to provide a true gateway to meaningful connection with people just like you, but half-way across the world! Come home from this trip with a better understanding of a new culture, new friends, and a newly discovered passion for learning about those around you!
