    Overview

Leadership training and pre-job experience is what you will gain from The JCC Westchester LIT/CIT program. LIT/CITs are either paired with counselors to learn how to supervise and interact with campers, assist a specialist and learn how to lead an activity. There is also a weekly community service component.

    CIT Program (15 year olds)

The JCC CIT Program combines hands-on counselor training with social action initiatives and weekly CIT-only trips for a full, enriching summer experience. CITs will spend 3-5 days/week assisting in camper groups. In addition to weekly trips, CITs will also take a 2-day trip incorporating fun with leadership training. To round out each week, CITs will participate in an on-or off-campus social action initiative that supports local causes. CITs (entering 10th grade) who successfully complete the program may be invited back next summer as Junior Counselors.

    LIT Program (14 year olds)

Similar to CIT program, but includes a unique blend of instruction, adventure and guidance geared toward prospective CIT candidates.
