    Overview

The Summer CHOICES Engineering Camp is a popular hands-on learning experience in engineering and science for 6th, 7th, or 8th grade middle-school girls. CHOICES is the coolest engineering and science outreach program in the known universe. It happens to be for middle-school girls.

The entire CHOICES experience, through the one-day program in the Spring and weeklong Summer day camp, is designed to prove that science is accessible to everyone -- it's fun, challenging, interesting, and, in a word...cool.

Lehigh University's CHOICES program allows middle school girls to participate in a variety of fun engineering and science experiments designed to foster an interest in the future pursuit of science, technology, engineering and math (STEM). The event is sponsored by Lehigh's P.C. Rossin College of Engineering and Applied Science along with our chapter of the Society of Women Engineers, with support from partner organizations such as Bosch Rexroth, NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, Air Products and Chemicals, ExxonMobil and Boeing.

Throughout this week-long camp, the girls will be introduced to a variety of fun and challenging activities that are organized by engineering mentors.

The camp is limited to 20 girls who will work on a combination of individual and team projects throughout the week. On the last day, after lunch, teams present their accomplishments before Lehigh staff and invited family and friends.
