    Overview

For over 80 years, McDonogh has been offering quality summer programs for children ages 4 to 18. The McDonogh Summer Programs include an array of traditional day camps, academic experiences, and day and overnight sports clinics. Find out more!

McDonogh School’s Summer Day Camps include:

    Senior Camp (Ages 9-13)

Senior Camp is designed for the experienced camper who wants to continue to enjoy all the fun of a traditional day camp with the added excitement of new, age-appropriate activities. Daily activities will include swimming, sports, and outdoor games, talent shows, art design, cooking, and computer graphic design to name a few.

The experienced staff encourages campers to approach each activity with equal enthusiasm and interest, even if that activity is somewhat unfamiliar. New outdoor activities including laser tag and our state of the art rock wall will be introduced to all campers.

    Outdoor Adventure Camp (Ages 10-15)

The Outdoor Adventure Camp is an exciting and unique program where campers experience a variety of outdoor activities that include rock climbing, rappelling, outdoor survival skills training, fishing, map and compass orienteering, swimming, mountain-bike riding on campus trails, campsite cooking, outdoor laser tag arena, and field games. Campers learn valuable survival skills such as shelter building, fire starting, and safety, as well as team-building skills that teach leadership, planning, and communication.

All of these adventurous activities take place on McDonogh's beautiful, 800-acre campus,s which includes multiple streams, four ponds, fascinating wildlife, and gorgeous forest and field areas. This camp also has daily use of the Outdoor Adventure Complex which consists of a state-of-the-art rock climbing tower, a team-building development course, a high and low ropes course, a super swing, and a 300-foot zip line!

The All Sports Camp (Ages 8-15)

Research shows that the modern-day athlete benefits from participating in a variety of sports.  Each day, All-Sports campers engage in a rotating schedule of sports with other kids their age. These sports include soccer, basketball, baseball, flag football, floor hockey, volleyball, disc golf, and more.  Camp also includes daily swimming. The highlight of each week is our Color War in which campers compete in exciting team events.

Former and current college athletes teach game fundamentals, encourage friendly competition, and reinforce the value of spirit and sportsmanship.
