    Overview

At Camp Nokomis For Girls Ages 8-16, campers build self-esteem, reconnect with nature, and make life-long friends. There is no place better than Camp Nokomis for Girls! Our forty acres of property includes densely-wooded areas, multi-purpose playing fields, tennis, basketball and volleyball courts, an archery range, a craft shop, ropes course, two beaches and more. Our program embraces each girl’s individual abilities and needs.

Camp Nokomis' program caters to each girl's individual abilities and needs, while remaining sensitive to her age and interests. Instructional programs are taught by trained and properly certified staff, providing the best and safest possible learning experience for the camper. Each girl chooses the activities in which she wishes to participate. Her schedule, which includes athletic and creative activities, will also have "rest times" and unscheduled periods when a variety of other activities may be pursued. Competitive opportunities exist but the emphasis is always on personal growth and enjoyment. To enhance the daily schedule, special events are planned each session and in the evenings.

Camp Nokomis is located on Bear Island in Meredith, NH on Lake Winnipesaukee.  Due to this unique location, the only way to get to the camps is by boat.

Camp Nokomis offers something rare in today's world: a consistent, responsive, and caring atmosphere enclosed in a beautiful, natural environment. Camp friendships are enduring. Camp experiences develop confidence with which to confront the challenges of the outside world.
