Explore Life Beyond Earth: Where Aerospace Meets Biology!
Join us for an exciting new hands-on summer camp that combines aerospace engineering and biology to explore the possibilities of life on Mars and beyond! Discover the resilience of microscopic life, build a rocket, put your skills to the test, and lead your team to victory!
Space is limited! Early registration is recommended, as campers will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis, determined by the date of registration and payment. Waiting lists will be maintained and filled in order of submission should cancellations occur.
Camp Activities:
- Discover Life
- Put on your lab coat and embark on a scientific journey to answer the big question: What is life? Through hands-on experiments, you’ll explore how resilient worms and microbes thrive in extreme conditions similar to those found on other planets. You’ll even analyze real soil samples to search for microscopic life forms that could hold the key to understanding life beyond Earth.
- Build Your Rocket
- Three, two, one…blast off! Work with your team to design and engineer a rocket, preparing for launch. Then, compete head-to-head in an exciting challenge to see who can achieve the furthest distance and greatest accuracy with their rocket.
- Create Your Shield
- Prepare your capsule for the harsh conditions of space! Team up to design and build a “heat shield” capable of withstanding extreme temperatures. Your shield will be put to the test in a thrilling challenge to determine which design survives the mission.
