Camp Activities
It’s time to stop watching movies and start making them! Campers will collaborate in teams to write, direct, film, and edit their own short films. Along the way, they’ll explore everything from scriptwriting and on-set collaboration to camera operations and post-production essentials.
Described as "where creativity meets technical skill," this camp offers hands-on experience with professional filmmaking tools, guided by working creatives from the film and theater industry. Whether you're a first-time filmmaker or an aspiring director, this camp welcomes all experience levels!
Final Night Premiere: On the last night of camp, the community is invited to a red-carpet film festival, where each team’s short film will be showcased in a celebratory screening.

Day 1 - Writing for the Camera & Camera Shot Types

Day 2 - Acting & Directing for the Camera / Production
- Camera operations & composition
- Lighting techniques for film
- Acting & directing for the camera
- Filming begins!
Day 3 - Production & Post-Production Start
- Basics of audio production
- Team filming sessions
- Introduction to post-production
Day 4 – Post-Production
- Second unit filming (if needed)
- Editing essentials & finalizing projects
- Films submitted by 9 PM
Day 5 - Film Festival!
- Film screenings, awards, and red-carpet photos
