Missouri S&T Summer Camp: Nuclear Engineering Recently Updated

Whether you're curious about safe and reliable nuclear energy production, using radiation for biomedical research and medical imaging, operating a nuclear reactor, or understanding how nuclear-powered US Navy submarines and aircraft carriers protect US interests, this hands-on camp is the perfect introduction.

Campers will explore topics like nuclear energy, radiation detection and applications, nuclear materials, nuclear security, nuclear waste management, industrial plasmas, and more. Each day combines interactive lectures, small group projects, and exciting hands-on experiments.

Under the guidance of summer camp leaders, you'll learn concepts from radiation detection to reactor physics, gaining exposure to topics and materials that nuclear engineering students typically study.
