    Overview

The New England Music Camp offers a unique program which emphasizes a balance of musical gains and personal and social growth. NEMC offers six different programs, which are divided between two main sessions: Core (4-week) and Intensives & Prelude (2-week).  Join us for an unforgettable summer of musical growth and camaraderie on the shores of Snow Pond in Sidney, Maine!

NEMC offers several different opportunities for young musicians and vocalists ages 9 - 20:

    • Traditional NEMC Core session for ages 11-18
    • Chamber Music Intensive for ages 14-20
    • Composition Intensive for ages 14-20
    • Jazz Intensive for high school students
    • Musical Theatre Intensive for high school students
    • Prelude Strings & Band session for ages 9-13

A 4:1 faculty to student ratio provides an environment rich in sharing and learning. Students and their teachers at home often remark that “one summer of music at NEMC is like a year at home!”

Campers at New England Music Camp design their own schedules, choosing from a wide range of classes. The weekly schedule includes two one half-hour private lessons, with the option to add additional lesson time, and participation in one or more of the major performing groups. Public performances take place on Saturdays and Sundays at 3pm at our outdoor amphitheater, the Bowl-in-the-Pines.
