    Overview

    The Young Equity Analyst (YEA) Program of the New York Institute of Finance (NYIF) is a hands-on practical learning program for stock analysis, trading and related financial and investment education.

    Topics include:

    • Economics of Industry Cycles And Analyzing Moats
    • Financial Statements With Basic Ratios
    • Relationships Between Time and The Cost Of Money
    • Value a Stock Using Cash Flow Like Warren Buffet

    Students will learn which industries perform better or worse during different market and business cycles. Understand four most important drivers of the economy, as well as learn to decipher financial statements such as income statements and balance sheets. The course will teach how to review calculations of future and present value of cash flows as well as contrast the cost of raising money to expand companies with stock vs. debt.
