    Overview

Move ahead academically, further your skills and knowledge, meet students from around the world, and get ready to excel in the next school year. NMH summer programs have hosted students from 50 states and 128 countries since beginning in 1905. Inclusion and personal growth are paramount to our mission. Let us help you build skills, social awareness, a sense of community, and self-confidence.

    Our program offerings:

Summer Scholars: Use the summer to dive deeper into one area of study so you can advance to a higher level during the school year. Try new subjects you would not otherwise have the chance to explore. This is a 5-week residential program.

English Language Immersion: The best — and most enjoyable — way to learn English is to be immersed in the language and the culture.  For 5 weeks,  you’ll live with, eat with, and explore with our entire community of learners. Our goal is for you to feel at home.

Summer Explorers: Instead of narrowing your focus, how about combining your passions? As an explorer, you’ll be able to try a couple of subjects for a more interdisciplinary approach to summer learning for three weeks.

Summer Enthusiasts: Passionate about a specific subject or endeavor? Spend two weeks intensely focused on building your skills, from test-prep to lifeguarding, writing to public speaking, journalism to performing arts.

    WHY NMH?

Our experienced faculty are experts in their fields and are dedicated to students in and outside the classroom, providing support and extra-help sessions to help you meet your goals.

Small classes ensure that each student receives individualized attention and is able to build strong relationships with peers and teachers. Each major course has a lead teacher and a teaching intern with an average student-to-teacher ratio of 4 to 1.

Classes are held Monday through Saturday, with an extensive student activities program on Wednesday afternoons and weekends.
