    Overview

Since opening in 1959, Camp Lawrence has been home to over 40,000 children from as close as Valparaiso, Indiana to as far as Texas and Alaska, as well as from around the world.Open to children ages 7 to 14, this resident camp has enabled youth to experience the wonders of the great outdoors in a Catholic Christian environment.

Through the guidance of trained counselors, the youth grow physically, intellectually and spiritually as they share adventures sitting by the campfire, going on a nature hike, swimming, creating works of art, plus playing sports and so much more.

A typical day at camp begins with cabin cleaning and flag raising, followed by Morning Liturgy. Activities follow Morning Liturgy, including Arts and Crafts, Nature, Sports, and Swimming. Each week of camp has a special theme. Activities are then planned for that theme. Some of our favorite themes are: Hatfield and McCoy Week, Spirit Week, Holiday Week, Carnival, and Red Carpet Week.
