    Overview

The NYU Steinhardt Summer Jazz Improv and Composers Workshop will be conducting a virtual program for the summer of 2021. Find out more!

Designed for intermediate to advanced jazz students, this intensive seeks to combine top jazz education with masterclasses. Taught by top jazz musicians in New York City, this workshop offers daily interaction with world-class jazz professionals, an improvisation class, a composition class, and group meetings with special guest instructors! Students can also expect to partake in one private lesson every week! To apply, students should submit an audition video recording their performance of three contrasting jazz standards. Since the program is virtual, participants are required to have a computer with WiFi and functioning video and audio capabilities. Assistance with technology is available to students prior to the beginning of their session.
