    Overview

The NYU Steinhardt SummerStrings program is committed to creating a collaborative and creative community for string performers ages 12 and up. Find out more!

This intensive workshop is designed to help promising young musicians reach their musical goals! Open to violinists, violists, cellists, and bassists, this program offers incredibly high levels of training and competitions. Students will be challenged to develop their musical voice and perform in front of peers and the renowned faculty. They can expect two private lessons per week as well as daily masterclasses and seminars. Furthermore, students will learn directly from Dr. Molly Gebrain, a violist and neuroscience specialist. With the help of this program, students will feel more prepared for auditions, performances, and competitions.  To apply for the program, students must submit an audition audio or video file.
