    Overview

Today, more than ever, technology is rapidly impacting the world of finance in unimaginable ways. How can understanding  AI (Large Language Models, Machine Learning, Neural Networks), blockchain, and a host of other emerging technologies provide a competitive advantage?

To better understand how these technologies are transforming markets, the course will first establish a comprehensive understanding of the fundamentals of finance. After which various technologies will be discussed and analyzed with an eye toward risk and return. This course will cover financial instruments like stocks, bonds, and securitized mortgages. The evolution of market machinery like FedNow, and crowdfunding will also be analyzed.

    Ideal For

    • High school students who have completed grades 9, 10, or 11
    • High school students who have an interest in finance or technology related to finance

    You'll Walk Away With

    • A better understanding of the rapidly changing world of finance and technology
    • A better understanding of careers in finance and financial technology

Students from around the world attend NYU summer programs, but only a college prep program like High School Academy provides the opportunity to explore both traditional and emerging career paths.
