    Overview

Join us in the beautiful setting of Athens, Ohio to make music with the renowned faculty of the Ohio University School of Music. The camp is designed for high school vocal students who want to enhance their musicianship and interact with other student musicians from across the state and region.

For over fifty years, high school choral students have visited Athens, Ohio to make music with the renowned faculty of the Ohio University School of Music. The OHIO Summer Vocal Camp continues this tradition for students who want to enhance their musicianship and interact with other student musicians from across the state and region. Vocal camp students develop their music skills through large ensemble participation, master classes, individual lessons, academic classes, and concerts.

High school students interested in voice performance work directly with our experienced faculty of active vocalists to build their voices and develop their skills in classical technique. In addition to singing, students explore movement and acting to build well-rounded audition and performance skills. Students participate in individual coaching sessions, group lessons, and activities with all Summer Music students. The experience culminates in a public performance on Saturday.
