    Overview

The Visual Arts and Architecture (VVA) stream presents high school students ages 16-19 with the opportunity to develop their creative skills in art and architecture through workshops and academic seminars/lectures on fine art, architecture and art history. Students will experience campus life and college studies through our two-week residential program at either Oxford University.

The VVA Stream consists of three modules taught at Oxford University. Students will have the oppotunity to develop thier portfolios and grow in their knowledge and creativity.

The Fine Arts stream combines immersive art workshops with seminars and lectures on fine art. Students will explore a variety of mediums and techniques, deepening their understanding of artistic expression and fine art principles, guided by experienced artists.

The Architecture stream combines intensive architecture portfolio workshops with engaging seminars and lectures. This program is ideal for aspiring architects looking to build a compelling portfolio and gain a deeper understanding of architectural concepts.

The Art History module covers major Western art movements and includes non-Western art topics, such as Islamic art and architecture. Students will gain insight into the development of artistic movements and their cultural importance taught by knowledgable art historians.

Students of Oxbridge Summer Scholars engage in a variety of extracurricular activities drawing from the esteemed traditions of Oxford and Cambridge as well as opportunities to explore the local area. One weekend is dedicated to a trip to Cambridge, allowing students to explore the rich traditions and academic excellence of both prestigious universities.
