    Overview

“To make a great film you need three things – the script, the script, and the script.” – Alfred Hitchcock

At the Point Park Screenwriting Intensive, learn the craft of screen writing to see if you’re the next JJ Abrams, David Chase or Diablo Cody. You’ll also get the chance to work alongside colleagues to gain experience in team writing for television.

At this one-week workshop, you'll learn the elements of successful storytelling, begin to find your voice as a writer, and of course create your own scripts. Gain insight into the techniques that have helped to launch some of the hottest programming for both film and television. At the end of the course, you’ll not only have a completed short script, but also the tools to confidently master your storytelling abilities, as well as a collection of exercises to help jump-start your creativity.

Taught by award-winning faculty that have worked for NBC, FOX, Disney, FX, ABC, NYU/Tisch Theatre, American Repertory Theatre and more.
