    Overview

Sail Caribbean offers ten different adventure groups with 30 different sessions in the British Virgin and Leeward Islands of the Caribbean. You live aboard a modern 50′ monohull yacht or 45′ catamaran with other teens in your age group and learn to sail. No experience is necessary. Every adventure focuses on an activity, but each offers scuba, marine biology, community service, cultural exchange, watersports, friendships, personal growth and lifelong memories.

    • As a whole, Sail Caribbean was easily the best experience of my life. The friendships I've made and the experiences I've had are once in a lifetime. I can't imagine a summer without a Sail Caribbean trip now, and I can't wait to see where the program brings me in the future.

      - A. Doswell age 15 Ft. Worth, Texas - July 3, 2013
    • "I've been on a few teen trips, but none have been so special or meaningful than my time with Sail Caribbean. I had the greatest time and feel like I came out of it with valuable knowledge and great friendships." Age 17, Newton, MA

      - Meghan Bellerose , age 17 Newton, MA - November 20, 2012
    • "Sail Caribbean has been an awesome experience for Nathan. It has greatly increased his vision and confidence in himself. He has a better feel for the world outside of himself. I am so grateful that he has the opportunity to pursue something he is so passionate about."

      - L. Russell Moretown, Vermont - July 18, 2012
    • "My experience with Sail Caribbean is one that is hard to put into words. My two summers with Sail Caribbean have been the best two summers of my life. I have met strangers who are now some of my closest friends. I have been provided with opportunities that I would never find anywhere else. Reflecting on my experience, I think of the people - my captain, my mates and my shipmates, I think of the different destinations - The Bitter End, The Baths, Anegada, I think of the sails - race day, challenge day, the night sail, when I think of my Sail Caribbean experience, I can't help but to smile. I wish I could put into words how truly amazing my two experiences with Sail Caribbean have been but there aren't any words to describe how beyond amazing Sail Caribbean really is."

      - Katie R. Marblehead, MA - July 14, 2012
    • The Sierra Program went above and beyond my expectations of the marine biology aspect discussing topics from fish I.D., to different ecosystems and the importance of conservation in the BVI. I was very excited that we got to go on snorkels and dives after to see how what we learned about was functioning. Even the hands on experiences were amazing, including dissection and bioluminescence splash. When I think about my experiences with Sail Caribbean I can't help but smile. I think about the breathtaking dives we took and how I improved immensely at free diving, scuba diving, and sailing. Most of all I think about all the laughs I had with my crewmates and the Sail Caribbean staff as well."

      - Kristen S. Weston, MA - August 14, 2012
    • The Sierra Program exceeded my expectations of learning about marine biology. Not only did we frequently have lessons on the boat, on subjects such as coral, sea turtles, and the challenges of living in the sea, but the counselors were enthusiastic and excited about these lessons. They made learning on the boat fun and exciting.

      - Maddy J. Sudbury, MA - July 21, 2013
    • I am very impressed with the Tango program. To offer programs for middle school aged students who are doing activities that are usually only found for high school aged students is great. Dylan has wanted to get scuba certified since he was little and being able to have him achieve this goal with students his age is comforting for both the child and the parent."

      - Vicki M Wilton, CT - July 30, 2012
    • "I loved all of the islands, and each for their individual reasons. If I had to pick however, I'd probably choose Saba, St. Barth, and St. Kitts. I loved Saba because it was so unique. From the little airport to the cool little towns to the goats just chilling on the mountain, it was honestly like nothing I have ever seen before. St. Kitts was also incredible not only because of the people but because of the rich history. I found it really cool because I learned so many new and interesting things about St. Kitts and its importance in not only the formation of the 'new world' but also in the slave trade. St. Barth was possibly one of the top 3 most beautiful places that I have ever visited, it is honestly like paradise and for that reason I just fell in love with its beauty especially after the mini cooper tours."

    • "We were like one giant family. From the second day to the last we learned to work together, live together, and just have fun together. I love all of my shipmates, it was amazing how well we all clicked. Living in such a small place, you would think would be hard but everybody was amazing and really wanted to be there learning to sail and having fun, the 50 foot sailboat felt much bigger than it was."
