    Overview

    High school students have the opportunity this summer to take academically rigorous, college-prep coursework at Seton Hall University. A pre-college program is a great opportunity to study a favorite subject, get ahead in your chosen field, or try out something completely new. You may even be able to study something not offered at your high school. 

    Taking courses over the summer at Seton Hall University in South Orange, NJ will provide high school students the opportunity to take courses on a real university campus, meeting with experienced faculty and finding subjects and areas that interest you.  

    Finding Your Path: Faith, Happiness, and Joyful Living 
    Catholic Studies 1001: Search for Human Fulfillment 
    July 7 - 17, 2025
    1 to 4 p.m. 

    This course will explore the Catholic perspective on what it means to live a fulfilling and joyful life, examining the relationship between humans and God through history, theology, and philosophy. Students will earn 3 college credits for Seton Hall’s Catholic Studies: The Search for Human Fulfillment course, engaging deeply with the foundations of the Catholic Intellectual Tradition and how it shapes our understanding of purpose and happiness. 

    Starting with a foundation in Sacred Scripture, students will delve into the rich tapestry of the Catholic Intellectual Tradition. Through theological, historical, literary, and philosophical lenses, the course unfolds a comprehensive view of who we are and the distinct form of human fulfillment that aligns with our nature.
