    Overview

    Explore public health through an immersive summer program where you will explore how public health professionals work to protect and improve the health of individuals, communities, and populations by addressing health challenges locally, nationally, and globally. Learn about important public health topics, practice key skills, and explore public health careers. In our interconnected complex world, you can shape a healthier, more sustainable future for everyone.

    This experiential program combines expert lectures with active learning. By the end of the week, you will understand how public health professionals work to prevent disease and injury, promote healthy lifestyles, and respond to health emergencies. You will be able to: Explain the field of public health and recognize public health challenges. Identify public health careers and skills required to pursue these professions. Apply basic analytic and communication skills to discuss and analyze public health challenges. Life On Campus Outside of class, you will enjoy social activities, develop lasting friendships, and get a taste of college life on campus.

    Cost and Session Information

    To be accepted into this program, you must be a rising junior or senior in good academic standing. For 2025, this program is open only to US residents between the ages of 15 and 17.

    This course is offered during Session 2: July 13 - 18

    Program Cost: $2,250 ($50 application fee)

    A limited number of scholarships are available to offset the program costs for students with demonstrated need. The Scholarships are distributed on a first-come, first-serve basis.

    Application Closes: May 30, 2024

    *Apply by the early action deadline and receive a $100 discount on the program fee.
