For over 10 years, Centenary University has welcomed high school students from all over the world to study in our summer intensives. These one-week programs are non-credit. They provide in-depth studies designed for enrichment and career exploration taught by Centenary University professors.
About the Program:
The Summer Academy is a high school pre-college program for rising grades 9-12. The program is held July 28th-August 1st (overnight students arrive July 27th and depart August 2nd). Students have the opportunity to commute of stay in our air-conditioned suites. Classes are held weekday by the same university professors that teach our undergraduate and graduate level courses. By night, students can meet other teens and make lifelong friendships while participating in fun evening activities.

About Centenary:
Centenary is located in Hackettstown, NJ, just one hour from New York City. The university is best known for its equine studies program, one of the top five equine programs in the country. Centenary also offers the first Happiness Studies Masters degree in the world, a program led by former Harvard Professor Tal Ben-Shahar. Centenary’s student entrepreneurial organization, Enactus, was recently awarded a patent for one of its inventions. The Theatre Program is part of Centenary Stage Company, a professional Equity theatre in-residence. Students have the opportunity to earn their equity card by the time they graduate.
