    Overview

This program is designed to help students develop portfolio-ready artwork. The structure of the class is that of a guided open studio where students can bring artwork and projects to work on under the supervision of an experienced teaching artist. This individualized experience places emphasis on technique, concept development, and maintaining a polished sketchbook and portfolio.??

For students interested in learning new skills, techniques or to explore other mediums, teaching artists will begin the first class of the month with a demonstration – such as printmaking, color mixing, building 3D structures, photography and more – which students will have the opportunity to explore and elaborate on in their own practice. This program is aimed at both high school and college prospective students. The teaching artist will coach students for optimal portfolio and audition preparedness.
