    Overview

The University of Georgia Summer Music Camp Online is an intensive 5-day musical experience that offers students a place to grow musically in a fun and exciting learning environment. Summer Music Campers attend academic classes that address important areas of musicianship as well as an instrument-specific masterclasses under the direction of the acclaimed faculty of UGA's Hugh Hodgson School of Music.

Band, orchestra, and chorus students rehearse and perform in the appropriate large ensembles, while piano students focus on performance practice and the standard literature of their instrument. In addition, Summer Music Campers have ample opportunity to socialize, develop relationships with other young musicians, and experience life on a great university campus.

While auditions are not required to participate in the camp, all students will have the option to audition for chair placement in their ensemble. This will include all High School and Middle School students attending the camp.

Summer music camp is for middle and high school students going into grades 6-12.  While rising 6th graders are eligible to take part in the Summer Music Camp, they must have at least one year of experience with their instrument in order to attend.
