Join us on a teen trip to Hawaii this summer and discover all four of the main Hawaiian Islands! Experience bustling and vibrant Oahu, enjoy meaningful service projects in beautiful Maui, relax and discover the dramatic landscape of lush Kauai, and explore active volcanoes and become a certified reef teacher on the Big Island on this once in a lifetime Hawaii teen tour!

Our time on the islands will involve plenty of exploration and adventure with a variety of service projects mixed in, including working with animals, children, and marine life.

Visit the Boys and Girls Club in Honolulu and run a program for the children involving sports, arts and crafts, or anything else we can dream up! This provides the opportunity to bond with the children and gain more insight into BGCH’s mission of inspiring local Hawaiian youth.

In Maui, help with sea turtle conservation, one of the most important issues facing Hawaiian ecosystems.

On the Big Island, experience hands-on learning while working closely with marine biologists on important projects all focused on the ocean. Snorkel, survey reefs, collect ocean data and become educated about reef ecology. After three days of our marine biology project, you’ll officially become a certified reef teacher!

Plenty of adventure will complement our service projects. Swim in secret waterfalls, sail alongside pods of dolphins, gaze at an active volcano glowing at night, snorkel with giant manta rays, take a surf lesson and much more on this incredible journey to discover the best of Hawaii!

During this program, I met some of the best people in one of the most beautiful states in the country, as well as learned so much about the earth and how to take care of it. This trip was by far the best part of my summer, and I feel so lucky to have gotten to leave my state during the pandemic for this amazing adventure. Throughout the trip, I got closer to my small volunteering group, who at the end was like my family, and also became much more educated about the danger our oceans and marine life are in and what we can do to make a difference. I have no regrets from this trip and came back after feeling like a whole new, and better person. This truly was an amazing experience, and I highly recommend it!

I went on a service trip to the Big Island in Hawaii and it was the most fun I have ever had traveling. I was quite stressed going into it, but TFT made the trip an enjoyable and non stressful experience. The activities that we did on the trip are beyond what I would ever do with my family. ATV riding in a coffee farm, snorkeling in a beautiful reef, and going to one of the highest telescopes in the world, is something that I would have never done without TFT. My counselors were absolutely amazing and really did care about what us, the teens wanted to do. They made sure that all our needs were fulfilled and that everyone was getting along and having a great time. They allowed us to really take in the culture and environment surrounding us, and made the trip both fun and educational. I created many friendships on the trip and I still keep in touch with them daily. Without TFT, I would have never had this life-changing experience. If you have the opportunity, I would highly recommend a trip with TFT.
