    Overview

Treasure Island Sailing Center's Beginner Youth Sailing camp is an exciting program for campers to get introduced to the world of sailing. Find out more!

During this program, students will learn about all the fundamentals of sailing. The topics may include water safety, rigging, seamanship, steering, knots, and sail trim. They will engage in plenty of games and drills designed to build their confidence and self-awareness in a fun manner. Students will begin applying their skills by sailing with a partner on small sailboats and eventually move on to sailing single-handed. Though no previous sailing experience is required to register, participants should be comfortable around the water.
