    Overview

Are you a student with a interest in forensic science? We have the camp experience for you! Since 2003, Forensic Science Camp has offered students (ages 13-17) the opportunity to experience a week in the life of a forensic scientist. Campers learn what it really takes to process a crime scene, analyze evidence, and take it to court.

At the beginning of the week, you will be introduced to an open investigation.? It's your job to work with our counselors, demonstrators, and guest speakers to gain the skills necessary to crack the case!? Campers will gain first hand experience with a number of forensic practices through in-class lectures by our guests and counselors, as well as laboratory activities. These include: Crime scene note-taking and photography, identifying and packaging evidence, developing DNA profiles for their case, evidence analysis in: fingerprints, bloodstains, hairs, footwear impressions, and skeletal remains, and participating in a mock trial.

Overnight campers stay at Trent University’s Peter Gzowski residence, surrounded by stunning natural scenery. As the newest residence building on campus, the rooms are well maintained, clean, comfortable, air conditioned, and offers free wifi. Day camp is also an option for our participants that live nearby. Parents are responsible for arranging all transportation.
