This 2-week program is designed for students who want to explore the fundamentals of digital drawing and digital watercolor. Emphasis will be on architecture and landscape architecture.

Students will learn to use Adobe Photoshop to create digital art in a computer and use Procreate and Adobe Fresco apps to draw and paint on an iPad or iPhone. Basic artistic and design concepts will be covered, such as perspective, composition, color theory, and value. This digital art program is project-based so that students will end the course with a collection of digital representations of what they have learned.

No experience needed. For high school students at all levels who are interested in architecture, landscape architecture, or fine art.

Online courses will be delivered through live meetings and will include offline assignment and projects. Courses meet synchronously 3 - 5 times per week primarily using Zoom, but may use other communication tools. Courses will be managed through UMass Amherst's Moodle or Blackboard platforms.

Schedule: Online Live Sessions Monday - Friday 11:00am - 12:30pm (EDT).

    Attendance

Students attending the online program are expected to attend all class sessions live in real time. In order to prioritize the health and well-being of participants, eligibility is restricted to applicants residing in time zones where class hours do not extend beyond midnight.
