The Summer Theatre Academy at the University of Miami offers a summer full of fun and learning!

Your child will gain valuable theatre skills, confidence, self-esteem, and a love of creativity, through theatre games and acting exercises led by our well-trained, caring staff. Each group of students receives training specifically planned for their age group. All student groups are small, with a maximum of twenty students, in order to provide individualized attention.

For students going into eighth grade or higher, we also offer the Advanced Academy, in which students receive specialized intensive workshops that cover both the performing and technical aspects of theater.

Whether in grade school, middle school or high school, our Academy provides students with a safe, fun, supportive place to learn and grow.

In past years, STA classes have included training in the following areas:

    • Acting
    • Music
    • Dance
    • Acting for the Camera
    • Film Production and Theory
    • Improvisation
    • Playwriting
    • Theatre Production
