    Overview

Washington Conservatory of Music's Intermediate Acoustic Guitar program is perfect for musicians who want to learn more advanced techniques including bar chords and finger-picking styles along with strumming, to play more advanced pop songs from throughout the decades.

Intermediate acoustic guitar students will continue to improve their skills while learning to play satisfying versions of their favorite songs. Students learn common chords, strums, and rhythms following a well-established, aural method of instruction. This approach enables students to tap into their intrinsic knowledge of music gained from a lifetime of listening. Students progress through the class sequence at their own pace as they gain confidence playing in a casual, supportive, and social environment.
