    Overview

Camp Metacomet offers an ideal setting for all campers to explore, learn skills, develop character, and create lasting memories with new friends. Camp Metacomet is located on 58 acres of ecologically diverse land, with an outdoor pool and plenty of opportunities to play. Traditional camp activities include archery, sports, adventure challenge, rock climbing, arts and crafts, swimming, and a variety of team-oriented games.

Kids have the opportunity to explore nature, find new talents, try new activities, gain independence, and make lasting friendships and memories. We also offer specialty camps for campers interested in the arts, cooking, sports, or engineering. Specialty Camp curriculum is carefully designed to deliver well-rounded programming and incorporate experiential learning.

Located on a 58-acre ecological diverse site including a working farm, hardwood forest, and rolling green fields,  We offer a well-rounded core group of activities that nurture the potential of every child and teen that participates. Our staff team is friendly, helpful and caring. Many of our current camp staff have grown up through the camp program and have dedicated themselves to creating the same camp experience that they had as young campers.

Through our traditional offerings such as archery, sports and our challenge course to more unique programs like our young farmers program, drama and our new lacrosse camp, your child will surely discover a new skill that they will enjoy learning. In addition, our special theme weeks, camp songs, and special events create a camp spirit that few other day camp programs can match. Each camper is sure to develop new skills while making lasting friendships that can carry on throughout their lives.
