    Overview

A Little Help is a nonprofit organization that connects neighbors across ages to enhance lives and strengthen our communities.

We provide older adults with essential services that help them to stay in their homes. Our programs support social and cognitive activity so seniors may stay in their own homes and enjoy improved quality of life within community. We serve many of the neighborhoods across Denver proper and the Metro Denver area. A Little Help emphasizes intergenerational connection by planning an array of social and educational activities in order to combat isolation. Our newest program is the ALH Teen Team. This team was organized to help pair teens with senior mentors who can share their experience, wisdom, wealth of stories, and love of life with a high school student. These students are able to build relationships with a senior while helping them with household and yard tasks, technology, a listening ear, and a smiling face. The Teen Team members can also participate in our twice-yearly Service Saturdays! and fulfill community service hours while forming a meaningful bond with a senior neighbor. We welcome high school students who would like to forge meaningful relationships with seniors by providing a helping hand or just a friendly visit!
