    Overview

The American Red Cross National Youth Council (NYC) represents and supports youth volunteers nationwide. This team of 15 youth members and two advisors advocates for youth involvement, advises leadership, and connects volunteers through newsletters and social media. They plan National Youth Involvement Month, fundraise for humanitarian efforts, recognize outstanding volunteers, and promote college engagement. Through these efforts, they empower young leaders to make a lasting impact.

American Red Cross National Youth Council members are ages 16-22. This is a remote (volunteer-from-home opportunity) that also requires volunteering with your local region and occasional travel when necessary. Candidates who have had at least two years of experience with the Red Cross and are passionate about furthering the Red Cross mission both locally and at the national level are encouraged to apply. This two-year commitment provides an extraordinary leadership experience and also allows youth to engage and grow youth involvement throughout the organization, all by leading national youth programs and initiatives that aim to integrate youth within the mission of the American Red Cross.
