High-schooler or college student interested in business? Business for Kids is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that teaches essential business skills to students. Our goal is to empower students to become entrepreneurs and leaders in their communities. We rely on volunteers to help make our programs a success. Join one of our 4 volunteer teams: Curriculum Development, Outreach & Logistics, Fundraising, and Media/Marketing team!
Are you a student interested in business? Do you want to gain experience to put on your resume and/or college applications? Do you want to join a network of like-minded students and connect with professionals? Do you want to earn volunteer hours and have the chance to earn the President's Volunteer Service Award?
Join one of our four volunteer teams offered:
- Curriculum Development Team: This team is responsible for designing curriculum that covers various aspects of business and finance in an accessible and engaging manner for students (elementary to high school). They work together to create lesson plans, learning materials, and activities that are suitable for different age groups and learning levels.
- Outreach and Logistics Team: This team plays a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless execution of events and activities for BFK. This team organizes events, coordinates visits to schools and other organizations, arranging guest speakers, and manages logistical arrangements.
- Fundraising and Grant Application Team: This team builds relationships within the community to raise awareness about the BFK's mission. They are responsible for organizing fundraising events and managing donations. Volunteers will also help manage and apply for grants and sponsorship programs.
- Media & Marketing Team: Media volunteers work closely with their team head and each other to design compelling social media content, while also conducting social media analysis and ensuring a consistent posting schedule.
About the organization: Business for Kids is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and student-led organization that teaches business skills to students through the classroom and virtual lessons. Our goal is to empower students to become entrepreneurs and leaders in their communities through a unique youth-to-youth approach. We offer a variety of programs, including free online workshops, summer programs, and in-person classroom lessons. Our team is made up of students who are passionate about empowering the next generation of business leaders.
