    Overview

    The mission of the Chicago Zoological Society is to inspire conservation leadership by engaging people and communities with wildlife and nature. The King Conservation Science Scholar?program is an innovative, hands-on approach to leadership development that incorporates environmental literacy and inclusion to assist in cultivating the next generation of conservation-minded, community-driven leaders.

    Co-designed with and for teens in 9-12 grade, King Conservation Science Scholars offers a unique opportunity for young people to engage in a multitude of experiences that supports their social, emotional, recreational and intellectual growth. Through interactive workshops, immersive research expeditions, and hands-on career exploration, the program enables King Scholars to grow as leaders as they center the initiatives that matters the most to them.
